Update Your Intel Network Connections Drivers:
If you’re having trouble accessing the internet due to an Intel network adapter failure. There are several things that you can do. One of these is to update your Intel Network Connections Drivers.
Download Intel Network Connections Drivers (Here)
To do this, right-click on your network adapter and click Update Driver Software.
1. Intel® PROSet for Windows® Device Manager:
Intel® PROSet for Windows® Device Manager is an extension of Windows Device Manager. That allows you to configure wired Intel Ethernet adapters and network connections. After Intel PROSet software is installed, tabs are automatically added to supported Intel Adapters in Windows Device Manager (Figure 1).
You can use this feature to set up multi-vendor teams for VLANs and QoS Prioritization. You can also change team names, and add and remove teams as needed.
For information about using Intel PROSet to manage VLANs and QoS Prioritization, see the Help menu in Intel® PROSet for Windows® Device Manager.
The Intel® PROSet for Windows® PowerShell utility provides a command-line interface to the Intel PROSet for Windows® Adapter Configuration Utility (ACU). This tool is designed for IT administrators to create network profile packages and roll them out to client systems.
This software is available for download on the Intel® Website. It can be installed on a Windows computer running the latest version of Microsoft Windows.
2. Intel® Network Adapter Driver:
When your computer’s network adapter fails to work, it can be frustrating. You may need to try many different steps to get your system connected to the internet again, such as restoring your computer to its original settings or downloading updated drivers manually.
So, if you’re using an Intel® ethernet adapter in your computer, download the latest version of the software driver for Windows to help improve network performance. These updated driver versions are available free of charge and will keep your device running at its best.
You can also boost your wireless connection speed by enabling and configuring two Intel wireless network adapter settings: Throughput Booster and Transmit Power. These settings are often found on laptops, tablets, and hybrid devices with Intel wireless network cards.
Intel® Network Adapter Drivers can be installed on Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP systems, including 32-bit and 64-bit versions. You can download this driver from the Intel® website.
3. Intel® Network Connections Manager:
Intel® Network Connections Manager is an easy-to-use tool that enables you to manage your wireless and Ethernet connections. It includes base drivers, Intel PROSet for Windows Device Manager, advanced networking services (ANS) for teaming and VLANs, and SNMP for Intel Network Adapters.
The Intel® Network Connections Drivers package enables you to easily update your network adapters with the latest version of the Windows* operating system. This includes drivers and other features that improve your network performance and help protect against vulnerabilities.
In addition, it enables you to configure network settings and troubleshoot problems with your WiFi connection. It is recommended that you keep your computer’s drivers and devices permanently updated and working properly to prevent system errors.
The Intel® AMT feature allows you to perform an inventory of local software assets and download and install updates OOB before the PC is loaded or applications start to load. So, this can be useful in detecting and repairing software issues that occur on your PC or to identify a PC with critical security patches that need to be installed.
4. Intel® Network Connections Configuration Utility:
Intel® Network Connections Configuration Utility enables users to customize the settings for their Intel Ethernet adapters. So, it provides an easy-to-use interface that is less cramped than the device manager’s Advanced Connection properties window.
The software supports 100Gb Intel Ethernet 800 Series Network Adapters. It can also be used to configure teaming and VLANs.
Using this utility, you can also set up and manage WiFi network profiles to connect to Infrastructure and Device to Device (ad hoc) networks. You can also customize power management and channel selection for setting up ad hoc WiFi networks.
So, the WiFi connection utility is installed during a typical installation of Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software. It includes the Administrator Tool and features such as Wi-Fi Protected Setup*, Intel(R) Wireless Troubleshooter*, and a Manual Diagnostics Tool.
