However, it lacks duplex scanning and has a smaller paper capacity than other models we’ve tested.
Another option is the PIXMA G4270, which is a mid-range model that offers great value for the money. Its refillable ink tanks can produce a lot of prints for a low price, and it has Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet connectivity. Canon Quick Menu is a free utility program for Windows that provides access to various features, tools and documentation available on compatible Canon printers and scanners. Located in the system tray, this application gives you a single place to manage your printer and scanner, as well as access to web services and maintenance utilities.
You can control the settings for your printer and scanner using Canon Quick Menu, including printer paper type and size, scanning resolution, document size and quality and fax settings. The tool also lets you monitor ink levels and power usage, as well as troubleshoot common issues.
If you have set a large number of pages to reserve for copying, the message “Memory is full” may appear on the LCD when copying. If this occurs, copying will stop. Press the OK button and wait a while, then try again. To prevent this problem, reduce the number of pages that you have set to reserve for copying. You can also select a smaller scan resolution.
