However, things just got easier. Ralink, the supplier of the card found in these machines, has released a new driver.
RT5390 driver download:
If you are having problems with your Ralink device, it may be because the driver is missing or has become corrupted. To fix this, you can try reconnecting the device and enabling the automatic update feature. Alternatively, you can download the drivers manually from the manufacturer’s website. However, this method can be difficult if you have no Internet connection or the WiFi signal is weak. Using a program like DriverHub can save you time and effort because it will automatically find and install the needed drivers for your device. It will also keep your drivers up to date automatically, which is especially helpful if you are on a deadline and need your computer to work as quickly as possible.
RT5390 driver installation:
RT5390 driver installation is the process of installing the drivers for your wireless LAN adapter. So, the RT5390 drivers are available from the official website of your notebook manufacturer or from some third-party sites. However, you should always download the latest driver from your manufacturer’s website because they are updated regularly and provide better support than third-party drivers.
If you are having trouble with the RT5390 device, you can try to update the drivers. To do so, you should check the driver version number in the Device Manager. You can also check the MAC address of the device. The MAC address should be displayed in the “Network Adapters” section of the Device Manager.
If you are having problems downloading the RT5390 driver from the Microsoft website, it is possible that your computer is not connected to the Internet or that the WiFi signal is weak. You can also try to disconnect the Ralink device now and reconnect it later (keeping in mind that it must be connected at the same time). This will allow the RT5390 driver to download automatically.
RT5390 driver update:
If your PC’s wireless adapter has stopped working, you can try several ways to fix it. You can uninstall the device driver and re-install it, or you can use dedicated software to update your drivers automatically. So, you can also disable the power management settings on your adapter. You can do this by opening the Device Manager and selecting your adapter. Then, right-click the device and select Properties. You can then uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box.
Ralink has recently started sending patches for the upstream rt2x00 driver for their new chipsets, instead of just dumping a stand-alone tarball driver on the community as they had done in the past. This is a welcome change and shows that they are willing to learn how to work with the Kernel community. They are a model for other manufacturers to follow. This change should be rewarded by the Linux community.
